BlackSpace is a marketplace where you can purchase directly from Seller Members in the United States, and we want you to have a positive experience shopping here. Please read on to find out more about your rights, as well as what is expected of you, as a buyer.
The Network Clause: BlackSpace is a brand of BlackSpace LLC. All commerce on this platform is conducted within the BlackSpace Network, a private, mission-aligned, and expressive association of Seller Members. The Network operates as a private forum for the collective exercise of the First Amendment rights of its members and the platform. All policies herein are subordinated to the Network’s Statement of Curatorial Intent and the LLC’s right to control its expressive message.

1. Overview This policy explains how BlackSpace gift cards, account credits, and coupons work. Gift cards and credits are issued by BlackSpace. Coupons may be offered by a Seller Member for their own shop, or by BlackSpace across the platform.
This policy is part of the BlackSpace Terms of Use. By buying, redeeming, or using a gift card, credit, or coupon, you agree to it. Disputes between you and BlackSpace are governed by the binding individual arbitration agreement and class-action waiver in Section 11 of the Terms of Use.
2. Gift Cards BlackSpace issues digital gift cards. They are sold and delivered digitally — there are no physical BlackSpace gift cards, and Seller Members cannot issue gift cards of their own. For the sale of a gift card, BlackSpace is the seller of record.
Where they work. A BlackSpace gift card can be used across the entire marketplace, toward any Seller Member’s items.
They work like cash. A gift card can be applied to your full order total, including item price, shipping, and tax. If you do not use the whole balance at once, the remainder stays on the card for future purchases.
No fees. There are no purchase, activation, service, inactivity, or dormancy fees of any kind.
No expiration. BlackSpace gift cards do not expire.
No cash value. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and have no cash value, except where the law requires otherwise. A gift card cannot be used to buy another gift card.
Taxes. No sales tax is charged when you buy a gift card. Tax applies to the items you purchase when you redeem it.
Refunds. If an order paid for with a gift card is canceled or refunded, the refunded amount returns to the gift card balance.
Treat the code like cash. Keep your gift card code secure. BlackSpace is not responsible for a lost or stolen gift card or code, or for an unauthorized redemption.
3. Credits BlackSpace may issue account credits — for example, as part of a promotion or in connection with a resolved order issue.
Credits have no cash value, are not redeemable for cash, are non-transferable, and may be applied only to purchases on BlackSpace. A credit may carry its own terms, such as what it can be applied to or how long it is available; BlackSpace will state those terms when the credit is issued.
4. Coupons A coupon is a discount applied at checkout. It has no cash value, is not redeemable for cash, and is non-transferable. Each coupon may have its own terms — such as a minimum purchase, eligible items, single use, or an end date — which are stated with the coupon.
- Seller Member coupons. A Seller Member may offer coupons for their own shop. These are set and managed by that Seller Member and apply only to that shop’s items.
- BlackSpace coupons. BlackSpace reserves the right to offer coupons that apply across the platform.
5. Fraud and Abuse BlackSpace may void, decline, or reverse any gift card, credit, or coupon that is obtained or used through fraud, error, or abuse, or in a way that violates this policy or any of BlackSpace’s other policies.
6. Changes to This Policy BlackSpace may update this policy. The version posted at the time you buy or use a gift card, credit, or coupon is the version that applies. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
